Bridal makeup look requires that you consider your daily look. If you don’t wear makeup, don’t experiment bold styles on your wedding day.

With almost every aspect of your bridal ensemble checked off of your to do list, all there’s left to do is find a bridal makeup look that pulls it all together. Being a bride-to-be, you probably have a million things going around in your head which can often lead to decision making becoming quite difficult and ‘the little things’ going unnoticed.

How to choose your bridal makeup look

1. Try looks on with your phone

There are many beauty apps which let you virtually “try on” different makeup styles to see how they look with your skin tone, eye color, and face shape. This can help give you an idea of the shades and styles of makeup that might look best on you.

2. Consider your daily look

Most brides want to look like a more polished version of themselves on their wedding day, so if you don’t typically wear a lot of makeup, it’s probably not the best idea to start experimenting with bold styles now. On the other hand, if you usually wear a lot of makeup, your wedding day might be the perfect opportunity to try a more subdued look and show off your natural glow.

3. Remember the weather

Makeup can work wonders, and thinking about the weather is always a good idea when planning your makeup style. Are you getting hitched on the beach in the middle of summer? Perhaps a smoky eye with layers of bronzer and blush isn’t such a great idea.

4. Put confidence first

Above all, you want to feel confident on your wedding day, so the only thing that really matters is making sure you figure out how to choose wedding makeup that will make you shine inside and out. Forget about trends and what kind of a look everyone else thinks you should be wearing, because this is your day and it’s your time to show off your uniquely beautiful features. Confidence is the most beautiful trend, after all.

5. Do your research

If you’re at a loss for how to choose a bridal makeup look, the best thing to do is expose yourself to as much inspiration as possible. Research social media wedding pages; this way you’ll get a general idea of what you’re looking for.

Think of the words you would use to describe your desired bridal makeup look. Is it vintage glam, low-key beachy, boho-romantic, or something else?

6.  Schedule a makeup trial

Many brides think they have an idea of what they want their bridal makeup look to be, but change their minds completely a trial with their makeup artist That’s why scheduling one is so important.

There’s just something about seeing a color in person that can totally transform your opinion. This is the time to experiment, find out what you love and hate, and make a solid decision with the help of a pro.
